To broadcast market leaders launch a jointly developed Triax connectivity solution with a live demonstration between their booths in Hall 11 at the show

IBC2010, Amsterdam, September 9, 2010 –  Draka Communications combines forces and connectivity experience with Fischer Connectors at IBC2010 . By interconnecting their booths with a new Triax HDTV cable they plan to demonstrate live the results of their partnership to jointly provide a connectivity solution that will give a new degree of freedom to camera operators.

The Fischer booth F55 in Hall 11 and Draka’s booth D31 in the same Hall  are  interconnected through the basement with more than a kilometer of the new Triax cable and Fischer connectors. On Fischer’s booth there is a Thomson LDK 8000 multi-format, high-definition camera with the Draka/Fischer cabling solution interlinking Draka’s booth which will have a CCU (Table 1-1 HDTV Camera Base Station) and a Sony HD monitor with super high resolution.

The result  over 1000 meters of cable will illustrate that  this innovative studio and outside broadcast solution extends the life cycle of Triax interconnected HDTV equipment, predominant today in our  broadcasting industry.
