ExterNetXS Indoor Solution for MDUs and Office Blocks  

ExterNetXS answers the two key questions you face when you have to run a cable up the outside of a building:

  • How can you protect your optical fiber cable from tampering or vandalism?
  • How can you prevent it being damaged by exposure to the elements, particularly ultraviolet (UV) light?

 

Double protection
First, ExterNetXS employs a UV-resistant metal conduit to protect the first 3–4 meters of the cable on the side of a building. Second, the cable itself is UV-rated so that once beyond reach of vandals (when the conduit is no longer needed) the cable alone can safely continue its run up the outside of the building. Once the required height is reached, just insert the cable through the wall and into the customer’s premises, and terminate it in a customer outlet box.
