Optical fiber Indoor cables 

The indoor cables are cables mainly intended for indoor use. They may be used for all parts of a data communication network, even outdoor where the climatic conditions are not severe as they all feature an UV stabilized low smoke halogen free sheathing. The cables are equally suitable for indoor telecommunication installations. The cables are completely free of halogens and are optimized for safety in case of fire. In addition most of the cables features Draka's FireRes™ advanced LSZH or LSHF-FR sheathing allowing for passing the IEC 60332-3-24 fire test.


The indoor cables fall into 3 groups:

Distribution style cables with tight- or semi tight buffer
The tightly and semi tightly buffered are available in several different executions with regard to construction and fiber count making it always possible to find the right cable for a particular application. They are flexible and easy to route around in patch panels and narrow conduits. The draw the full benefit of Draka’s bend insensitive fibers the Bend Bright XS and the MaxCap.BB-OMx.
Central tube cables
The central tube cables are available in different executions with regard to tensile strength, general robustness and rodent protection. The maximum fiber count is 24.
Stranded loose tube cables
The stranded loose tube cables offer the user a more robust solution, than the central tube cables and offer a solution for the higher fiber counts. Depending of the variant up to a maximum fiber count of 312 fibers is standard.
