The EaseNetXS Solution for OSP applications offers the easiest and most user friendly connector solution. A direct buried outdoor microduct solution, it can be used in all parts of an FTTH access network.
No duct required
EaseNetXS microducts have walls that are substantially thicker than standard microduct products, with the advantage that they do not need to be placed or blown inside another duct or tube, but are held in place by a thin outer sheath. The result is that they can withstand being directly buried on their own. From a technical perspective, this is the best solution for near surface and aerial needs where temperatures may vary significantly.
EaseNetXS products can be direct buried over long distances in bundles of 2, 4, 6, 7, 12, or 24, or they can be buried individually over shorter distances. EaseNetXS microducts also offer the easiest solution for branching (just cut the thin outer coating and snap on a connector) and therefore one of the most user friendly techniques during installation.
EaseNetXS Microducts - Heavy duty, self-protected bundles of thick-walled microducts used in access networks. Designed in bundles for direct burying, no protective duct is required and it is easy to branch off and direct-bury as a single microduct. No complex tube management boxes are needed.
EaseNetXS Connectors – EaseNetXS connectors use a simple design to snap together the ends of two Thick-Walled Microducts. No need for a Closure, Y-Branch, or Tube Management Box. Draka also offers a gas-tight connector or termination for use at network access points to protect the integrity and safety of the design.
EaseNetXS Underground Closure – Various splice-protection closures can be used with EaseNetXS. A closure can be direct buried or placed within a handhole and is designed to accommodate the splice requirements of the particular network. EaseNetXS compatible closures also offer numerous port options and customized closures are available on request.
EaseNetXS Handholes – Handholes are convenient entrance points to the access network and are mainly used as underground manipulation points for microducts and fiber cables. Draka offers several options for handholes of various shapes, sizes, material composition and configurations.
