Hightech cables in the new Aachen Tivoli stadium: reliable communication for exciting sport events.
Trendsetting cabling concepts, many decades of experience in cable manufacturing, high production capacities as well as a comprehensive distribution, logistics and service network enable Draka Communications to flexibly realise even comprehensive cable deliveries at short notice. One of many examples: The communication network in the new Aachen Tivoli.
Innovative concepts and individual solutions
The perfect transmission of pictures and sound can only be achieved with an intelligent video, camera, audio, and data cable network. Scanvest GmbH is responsible for the realisation of this network in the new Aachen Tivoli.
Fast and flexible
All in all, Scanvest ordered more than 30 kilometres of cables from Draka. “In addition to the quality of Draka products, mainly the fast delivery and the high flexibility have been the
deciding factors,” says Frank Martin, Key Account Manager and Project Manager from Scanvest. “We needed the cables within 1.5 weeks, and Draka was the only manufacturer being able to reliably deliver such a big quantity of cables in the required quality within the requested period of time.
Audio and video solutions
Regarding the audio cabling, Scanvest decided for solutions out of the Profi Sound Flex series of Draka. These cables are able to reliably transmit analogue as well as digital signals. They have been specifically developed for the professional and flexible use for a variety of applications. For the transmission of high-quality pictures, 75 1.4/6.6 AF video cables fulfilling the HDTV standard have been applied in the new Aachen Tivoli.
All-rounder
A further highlight in the Tivoli network is the SMPTE 311M hybrid HDTV camera cable containing single-mode optical fibres as well as auxiliary and signal conductors. It is used for the simultaneous transmission of energy, video, audio, and control signals and is suitable for all new digital camera systems of well-known manufacturers.
Fit for the future
Data cables of Draka are always in use wherever it is a question of professional and undisturbed data and voice transmission – also in the new Tivoli. When developing the
copper and fibre optic cables UC300 and UCFIBRE; speed and transmission reliability were of utmost priority. Data cable solutions of Draka have the physical potential to
support structured networking for future requirements.
