G.652 Series - The most commonly used single-mode fibers
Draka Communications Optical Fiber offers 2 types of G.652 single-mode fibers in its portfolio. The Standard Single-Mode Fiber (SSMF; compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.652, Table B) and the Enhanced Single-Mode Fiber (ESMF; compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.652, Table D). The SSMF and ESMF are part of the most deployed fiber type worldwide. These fibers can be used in all cable constructions, including loose tube, tight buffered, ribbon, and central tube designs. The tighter geometrical, attenuation and PMD specifications of ESMF enable superior performance in long-haul, metropolitan, access and premises applications for telecommunications, CATV and utility networks.
