By creating solutions with and for our customers we have become the market leader in high-performance automotive cable and communication cable in Europe, market leader in North America for elevator cable and communication cable and number one in China in optical fibre and fibre optic cable.

In fact, Draka develops, engineers, manufactures and sells thousands of advanced cables and cable solutions for all kinds of applications and situations. Overall, with revenue of € 2 billion (2009) Draka is the eighth-largest cable manufacturer in the world and the third-largest in Europe.

Equally, with over 68 factories, sales and support offices in 31 countries, and 9,400 employees in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia Pacific, we pride ourselves on being close to our customers. Whatever they need, and wherever they need it, we are always close by.
Flat, flexible organisation
This proximity to our customers also determines the way we are organised. Draka has a flat, decentralised structure. The Holding organisation is small and lean, so ensuring our divisions have a large measure of independence. They take the lead in meeting customer needs, from sales and delivery contracts to co-development and innovation.
